Frozen Ready Meal Delivery NZ

Delicious & Done delivers frozen ready meals across New Zealand, all major and regional towns/cities and rural delivery areas. Our meals are cooked in Whangārei, snap-frozen, then packed carefully for courier delivery to your door.

How delivery works

Your meals are sent frozen in an insulated delivery box with ice packs and eco wool insulation. We use the trusted NZ Post network to help ensure smooth, reliable delivery across New Zealand.

Most customers receive their order overnight after dispatch, while Rural Delivery addresses can take up to 2 working days.

  • Residential and business addresses: dispatched Monday to Thursday.
  • Rural Delivery addresses: dispatched Monday to Wednesday.
  • Public holidays: dispatch may be adjusted to avoid meals being delayed in the courier network.

Can I choose a delivery day?

Yes. You can choose a delivery day ahead of time, which is perfect if you are planning meals for the week, stocking the freezer, or sending a gift to someone else.

Can I order meals for a friend or family member?

Yes. You can send Delicious & Done meals directly to a friend, family member, new parent, older relative, or anyone who could use a freezer full of easy dinners. Just use their delivery address at checkout.

Do I need to be home?

No. You do not need to be home when your meals arrive. Your box can be left safely at your doorstep, workplace or chosen delivery address. The meals are packed with ice and insulated with eco wool, so they can happily sit on your doorstep during the day until you get home.

Delivery updates

You will receive email notifications when your order is picked up, when it is out for delivery, and once it has been delivered. This makes it easy to keep track of your box and get the meals into the freezer when you can.

When your meals arrive

When your order arrives, place your meals straight into the freezer. Keep frozen until you are ready to thaw, reheat and enjoy.

Why we dispatch early in the week

Frozen food needs careful handling, so we send orders on set dispatch days to reduce the risk of boxes sitting with couriers over a weekend or public holiday. This helps your meals arrive in the best possible condition.

Easy dinners, ready when you need them

Once your meals are in the freezer, you have proper cooked dinners ready to go — ideal for busy families, couples, new parents, older relatives, flatmates, or anyone who wants reliable heat-and-eat meals at home.

Reheating Instructions

Our meals are fully cooked, snap-frozen and ready to heat at home. For best results, thaw your meal in the fridge before heating. This gives a more even reheat and helps protect the texture of the sauce, pasta, rice, pastry, mash or vegetables.

Storage before heating: keep frozen below -18°C. Once thawed, keep refrigerated and use within 48 hours.

Before heating: remove the cardboard sleeve. Depending on the meal, either pierce a few steam vents in the plastic film with a fork, or fully remove the film for best results. For pastry-topped, cheesy, baked or crispy-style meals, removing the film generally gives the best finish.

Food safety: always heat until the meal is piping hot, bubbling, and reaches at least 75°C in the thickest part. Appliances vary, so the times below are a guide only. If your meal is not hot enough, continue heating in short bursts until fully heated through.

Oven — best all-round result

Preheat oven to 180°C fan forced. Place the tray on an oven-safe baking tray and heat until piping hot.

  • Single meals: heat for around 12 minutes.
  • Duo meals: heat for around 18–20 minutes.
  • Family meals: heat for around 30 minutes.

Microwave — fastest option

Fully remove the film before microwaving. Heat on medium power, stirring where possible between bursts to help the meal heat evenly.

  • Single and Duo meals: heat for 2 minutes, stir, then heat for another two 60-second bursts, stirring between each burst.
  • Family meals: heat for 4 minutes, stir, then heat for another three 2-minute bursts, stirring between each burst.

For meals that cannot be stirred easily, such as lasagne, pies or baked dishes, rotate the tray if needed and check the centre carefully before serving.

Air fryer — great for crisping and browning

Preheat air fryer to 190°C. Use an oven-safe tray or dish if transferring from the original tray. Heat until piping hot and bubbling.

  • Single meals: heat for around 14 minutes.
  • Duo meals: heat for around 20–22 minutes.
  • Family meals: heat for around 32 minutes, depending on the size of your air fryer.

After heating: allow the meal to stand for 3 minutes before serving. The tray and contents will be hot.
