FAQs

Dinner, without the decision fatigue.

Ordering & Delivery

Where do you deliver?

We ship our chilled and frozen ready-meals to every non-rural address in Aotearoa. Frozen boxes can also reach most RD routes via NZ Post Overnight.

Not sure? Drop your postcode in the checkout or email us—if a courier can find you, we’ll make dinner happen. Our target service level is overnight delivery. Whangarei can get same day delivery if you order prior to 7am and have a local business address for your delivery.

What days do you deliver?

  • North Island: We dispatch Monday-Thursday so the meal isn’t caught in the depot over the weekend, however we can do a Saturday delivery by arrangement.
  • South Island: Monday-Wednesday dispatch.
  • Rural Delivery: Monday to Wednesday dispatch. No dispatches on Public Holidays, or the day before a Public Holiday.

Do I have to be home?

Nope. Meals arrive in a fully insulated carton with eco friendly wool insulation and gel ice packs that hold safe temperature for 48 hours.

We text a tracking link the moment your box leaves the kitchen so you can rescue it from the porch as soon as you’re back.

Meals & Ingredients

What size are the trays?

  • Family Meal: 1.2 kg – 1.5 kg (feeds 4–5)
  • Duo Meal: 600 g – 800 g (feeds 2 plus maybe lunch leftovers).

More information is included in the product description for each.

Are the meals fresh or frozen?

Meals are freshly cooked, blast chilled, assembled and then snap frozen at their very best.

This means your meal arrives safely via the courier network and you can either store in the freezer or pop in the fridge ready to enjoy.

Meals are best thawed overnight in the chiller, or at least take it out in the morning and put in the fridge until dinner time.

Do you cater for kids’ tastes?

Absolutely. Think creamy macs, mild curries, BBQ classics—big flavours without the hidden chilli bombs.

Nutrition & Allergens

Where can I see nutrition info?

Each product page shows calories, macros and a full ingredient list per 100 g and per serve. A printable nutrition panel is also on the sleeve.

Are any meals gluten-free, dairy-free or low-carb?

Yes. Filter the menu by allergen or diet tag and you’ll only see trays that fit. Our kitchen handles gluten and dairy, but we follow strict segregation and wash down between allergens as part of our Food Control Plan.

Storage & Reheating

How long do the meals last?

Frozen: 6 months (see BBD on pack). Once thawed, we recommend you heat and eat within 3 days.

Can I freeze a chilled tray?

Once a tray is thawed, do not refreeze.

How do I heat the trays?

Thaw meals in the fridge overnight or during the day for best results.

If heating from frozen double the oven time. Always heat until the meal is 75 °C (hot and bubbling).

Allow to stand for 2-4 minutes prior to serving. Pierce a couple of fork holes in the film, or peel a corner to act as a vent.

Heating times may vary.

Oven (recommended)

Pre-heat to 180 °C. Heat meal in centre of oven for 20-25 minutes (Duo Meal) or 25-30 minutes (Family Meal). Let stand then peel film. For meals with a cheese topping we suggest removing the film prior to heating, then cover the meal with foil for the first half of the cook time and remove to melt the cheese for the remainder of the time.

Microwave

Cook on 1000W high for 2-5 minutes for a Duo Meal or 7-10 minutes for a Family Meal. Our recyclable aluminium meal trays are microwave safe as long as it doesn’t touch the wall of the microwave while heating and your microwave was made after 1990.

Let the tray stand 2 min, peel film, serve. Ensure meal is piping hot in the centre, above 75 degrees. Our aluminium trays are microwave safe for a microwave made after 1990, as long as they don’t touch the interior walls.

Airfryer

Preheat Air Fryer to 170 °C. Heat for 15-20 minutes for a Duo Meal or 20-25 minutes for a Family Meal.

Is the packaging recyclable?
