What makes a meal high in fibre?

Fibre comes from plant-based foods — vegetables, legumes, pulses, whole grains, and fruit. Most New Zealanders eat below the recommended 25–38g per day. As general nutrition guidance, dietary fibre supports normal digestion, contributes to feeling full, and helps feed the beneficial bacteria in the gut.

The meals in this collection are built around ingredients that naturally deliver fibre — lentils, beans, root vegetables, and vegetable-forward recipes — not as an afterthought, but as part of what makes them genuinely hearty and filling.

Made under a registered Food Control Plan and audited to MPI food-safety standards, and cooked in small batches in Northland, and delivered frozen to your door in eco-insulated packaging.

FAQs

What makes a meal high in fibre?

Fibre comes from plant-based ingredients — vegetables, legumes, pulses, wholegrains, and fruit. The meals in this collection are built around ingredients that naturally contribute meaningful fibre. We don't add synthetic fibre — it's all from real food.

How much fibre is in each meal?

It varies by dish — full nutritional information including fibre per 100g and per serve is on each product page. As a general guide, dishes featuring lentils and beans tend to be highest in fibre per serve.

Are the high fibre meals suitable for people with digestive issues?

Many people find a fibre-rich diet supports digestive comfort, but if you have a specific condition we'd always recommend checking with your GP or dietitian first. Our ingredients are listed on every product page so you can make an informed call.

Are any high fibre meals also gluten-free or vegetarian?

Yes — a number are naturally gluten-free and/or vegetarian, particularly the legume and vegetable-based dishes. Check the dietary tags on each product page.
